2008 Gewurztraminer

Tasting Notes: Our Gewurztraminer contains fruit sourced from some of the finest spots for growing white grapes in the Okanagan valley. This off-dry wine opens with a fragrance of honeysuckle and ruby grapefruit. The palate delivers a tropical melange with hints of spice.

Food Pairings: On a hot summer's day, the sumptuous fruit of this gewurztraminer is best sipped on your back patio. The spiciness of this wine holds its own when paired with green curry dishes or thai noodle salad.

Awards: Best Of Category - Okaganan Spring Wine Festival 2009 Bronze - Northwest Wine Summit 2008

Winemaking: The 2008 growing season was ideal for the gewuztraminer grape giving us moderate summer heat and long Fall hang time for optimum ripening. Selected blocks were fermented in stainless steel at cool temperatures to preserve the fruit flavours. In the interest of producing white wines of the utmost quality, this wine is bottled using a screw cap to ensure the integrity of freshness and flavour.
