We love anything Canadian, whether it is the fantastic efforts of our athletes, or the wonderful bounty of 100% British Columbian Wine! We are so proud to be showcasing some of the best wines and cuisine that Hillside has ever produced at a time when BC is front and centre on the world's stage.
NEW EXECUTIVE CHEF!
As we gear up for another busy season here at Hillside, we are thrilled to announce that Chef Robert Cordonier has joined our team as Executive Chef. Robert has 14 years experience in some of Western Canada's most respected restaurants, most recently as Restaurant Chef at the Sonora Room at Burrowing Owl Vineyards, and prior to that at the Fairmont Waterfront Hotel Vancouver and the Fairmont Chateau Whistler. In our continuing effort to provide the best experience possible at Hillside, we have re-designed our menu while maintaining some of our old favorites. Robert likes to use organic and locally sourced products and pair them with sauces that enhance the natural flavours. "My mission is to produce the perfect flavour combinations to complement our wines" says Chef Cordonier. "Our local farmers are growing incredilble produce that takes center stage on our menu. It is their best that I take great pride in showcasing on your plate." Robert is replacing Chef Peter Young, who, after 10 years creating wonderful food at Hillside, has left to pursue other business ventures. The Bistro will Open on April 1st for Spring Lunches from 11:30 AM to 4:00 PM. From May 1st, Lunch will be served between 11:30-5:30pm and Dinner, on Wednesdays thru Sundays from 5:30-9pm. From June 25th, Lunch will be served 11:30-3pm, a small plates menu between 3pm-5:30pm and Dinner served daily from 5:30-9pm. Check out our new menus and please make your reservations online!
The Wineshop will also open on April 1st from 11:00 AM to 4:00 PM. From May 1st, we are open from 10-6pm. We have a great selection of wines for you to taste. Click here for a full listing of all of our current wines.

We are very pleased to announce the release of two of our most sought-after wines in our portfolio! Our 2008 Pinotage and 2008 Old Vines Gamay Noir are now available for ordering!
2008 Pinotage $24.99
South Africa's signature variety, this Pinotage fruit was sourced from a single family vineyard in Oliver. A deep black currant aroma dusted with sagebrush, toasted nutmeg, and mesquite is echoed on the palate along with Mission fig and racy spice. Aging in American oak for 9 months has rounded its stylish tannins, playing off exotic flavours to produce an engaging finish.
Here's what Winemaker, Kathy Malone has to say about our 2008 Pinotage:
"This was my first experience working with Pinotage, and the unique character of this grape blew me away. I couldn't believe the smokiness present in the fruit before any oak contact! The balance of deep blackberry fruit and autumn woodsmoke is really neat. I used the oak more for rounding the tannins and adding a hint of toast."

2008 Old Vines Gamay Noir $24.99
Planted in 1984, our Gamay Noir vines are some of the oldest in the Okanagan Valley. Barrel aged for 8 months, this wine is made in a Burgundian-style, resulting in a medium-bodied, fruit-forward wine. Raspberry and cedar notes highlight the aroma, while the palate delivers a fine, silky texture.

"I was thrilled by this gamay fruit, some of the ripest I've had the pleasure to work with. This is the result of mature vines, good soil, and a great vineyard team. (And we all smile on the vines every morning as we walk into the cellar!) The smooth weight on the palate makes this the perfect wine to sip all night by the fire.
