Rob has trained in some of the most prestigious kitchens in British Columbia, and cooked for many renowned celebrities including Sylvester Stallone, Uma Thurman, Gary Sinise and the Vancouver Canucks.  After apprenticing at the acclaimed Fairmont Chateau Whistler, Rob pursued work opportunities with top restaurants in Vancouver and Whistler. After rising to the position of restaurant chef with the Fairmont Waterfront Hotel in Vancouver, his interest in wine drew him to the Okanagan.  Rob refined his skills as Pastry Chef and eventually as Restaurant Chef at the Sonora Room Restaurant at Burrowing Owl Estate Winery. Chef Cordonier joined the Hillside team in 2010 and is enthusiastically pairing Hillside Estate wines with the bounty of the Okanagan fields.
